Pain, acute, related to increased cardiac workload and decreased Mycocardial blood flow
Nursing Management/Action for Angina Pectoris
- Monitored heart rate and rhythm
- Assess pain.
- Monitored vital signs q 5 mins during initial anginal attack.
- Promote Comfortable bed rest.
- Provided supplemental oxygen as ordered .
- Administer nitroglycerin as prescribed to dilate the coronary arteries, reduce the oxygen requirements of the myocardium and relieve the chest pain.
- Monitored laboratory and serial ECG results
- Provided light meals encouraged patient to rest for 1 hr after meals
- Obtain a 12-Lead electrocardiogram.
- Provided emotional support Client and Family.
- Provide continuous cardiac monitoring.
