Nursing Care Plan for Atrial Fibrillation
Monitor cardiac rhythm as indicated.
Promote bedrest with head of the bed elevated to 45 degree.
Monitor blood pressure,apical pluse,peripheral pulese.
Assess patient respirations by observing respiratory rate and depth and use of accessory muscles.
Observe patient for restlessness, agitation, confusion and (late stages) lethargy
Monitor mental status changes.
Observe patient for sleep apnea
Monitor patient intake output and maintain chart qh
Assess peripheral pulses
Monitor skin changes color,moisture,temperature and capillary refill time
Give Oxygen as per needed
